"Couches, chairs, all sorts of tables," Joel agrees, casting his gaze around the apartment to see if he can come up with any other kind of furniture for them to make use of. He's smiling a little and a shiver races down his spine at the touch of Spencer's fingers, but he isn't entirely joking either. This is the first time his apartment hasn't felt lonely. He loves it here, he always has, but it's always been quiet and secluded and though he never would have admitted to it before now, it's always felt a little lonely, but now Spencer is here to fill it with his smile and his energy. "Every surface imaginable that we can figure out a way to use, we'll use it."
They have all the time in the world to figure it out, too. There's no rush, there's no reason for them to do everything at once because Joel truly has no intention of ever ending this. If Spencer one day decides he's had enough, that he doesn't want this anymore, Joel knows he'll try, he'll fight for them, because he believes this is exceptional. But he won't ever be the one to step away and he doesn't think Spencer will either. That sort of confidence has to be rare, he thinks, but maybe everyone in love knows that.
"The bookstore," he murmurs, his voice low as he ducks his head to press a kiss to Spencer's shoulder. He still tastes faintly of the sweat dried on his skin and Joel's tongue flicks out, gently tracing a line toward his throat. "The library. Every single room in your house. There are a lot of rooms in your house, you know." Maybe they'll avoid the one where Raleigh sleeps, but everything else, he figures, is fair game.
"We don't have to wait for holidays either," he says, although Spencer has more or less said as much when he'd suggested Saturday. "Any day. Every day if you want."
