ooc: shipping headcanons for idiots
Took this from Tumblr. Feel free to comment if you like with more questions on headcanons or steal for your own ships :3 The first half are SFW questions, second half NSFW plus bonus NSFW gif so beware if at the office~
SFW:
1.Who cooks? DEFINITELY Joel. Spencer is a disaster in the kitchen and can barely get ramen right XD
2.Who’s the messiest? The cleanest? They're both tidy at home but at the store, Joel is A HOT MESS. If he's left alone for too long, Spencer will walk in to piles of books that he definitely just got done organizing or boxes of inventory that he won't find for a week because they've been put aside and forgotten. Spencer has a librarian mindset, so he's always trying to keep things organized and alphabetized and in order. It's a good thing he loves his husband so much >:O
3.Who fixes the vehicle after a breakdown? Well. Neither of them are super skilled with cars, though Joel keeps his Jetta well-maintained. So they'd probably just take it to Davin~
4.Living space has a leak! Who fixes it? Joel. For any home repairs, Joel is the king. He's been working on renovations and the nursery while Spencer watches with stars in his eyes.
5.Who buys the groceries? I would imagine they do this together. Gotta replenish that whiskey on the regular.
6.Going out to eat: Who pays? Who orders the most food? And who has dessert? Spencer would always order way more than he can eat. Plus dessert. They probably do take-out and eat at home more often than actually going out, but they'd take turns paying.
7.Would they go to the beach? Ehhhh. Spencer would go with Joel to the beach but grumble about it XD He's a little more inclined now just because he remembers loving the ocean so much as a merman during the fairy tale spell but before that, he'd have pulled the puppy eyes.
8.Who knows how to swim? Who doesn’t? Joel is an excellent swimmer, Spencer can barely tread water. They've tried to do a lesson before but it just ended with sex in the ocean. CAN YOU BLAME THEM?
9.Is someone multilingual? Do they try to teach another language to the other? How does it go? Joel speaks some French, Spencer speaks some Spanish, and they're learning ASL together. They don't necessarily try to teach each other the French and Spanish, but they'll occasionally drop cutesy phrases then cackle while the other one tries to translate it.
10.Any pets? Or plants? Two pets: Joel's cat Balto and the dog they came back from their honeymoon with, Huxley.
11.Baths or showers? Together or separate? Any bubbles or bubble fights? Both and both. When they're feeling particularly romantic, one of them might set up some candles and bubbles to set the mood, but they don't require a special occassion to bathe or shower together.
12.Can they stand silence? Who talks the most? Who talks the least? They're both quiet men anyway so any silence they sit in is always comfortable. They could lie in bed together and read their own books without speaking for hours, and it wouldn't be odd for them. I wouldn't say that one or the other talks the most or least, but I think Spencer's usually the one with more to say post-bonertown :D

That would probalby go both ways, actually.
14.Who is the highest maintenance? Does the other mind? Hmm. Well, Spencer very much likes things to be in good order all the time everywhere, but I don't know that either of them would be considered super high maintenance. But even if one of them is, the other wouldn't mind :3
15.Vacation ideas: who decides them? Where would they go, if anywhere? The first time they went on a vacation together, they nearly died :D But the second time, they got married so that was a significantly better experience. Joel tends to get panic attacks and anxiety when they leave town, and Spencer has never been especially keen on traveling often so they're content where they are. They'll soon be planning a trip to New York, though, so 8)))))
